Biography

Born in Toronto in 1998, Ukrainian-Canadian pianist Anastasia Rizikov dazzled the international scene at the age of seven, when she won the Vladimir Horowitz international piano competition in Kyiv. It was on this occasion that she made her debut with the Kyiv Philharmonic Orchestra. Kyiv Philharmonic Orchestra. She impressed audiences and juries alike, competing with musicians more than twice her age musicians more than twice her age and receiving the highest distinctions in half a dozen international piano competitions. At the age of 16, Anastasia Rizikov became the youngest ever winner of the winner of the 57th Jaén International Piano Competition. Following this prize, she recorded her first album for Naxos Records in December 2016 (Grieg, Beethoven, Albeniz, Cruz-Guevara).
 
Anastasia's vast repertoire - over 25 concertos - allows her to perform many times with orchestra. Her solo repertoire, mainly centered on music of the 19th and 20th centuries as well as Slavonic music, has been performed at various festivals and concert halls. She has performed at the Verbier Festival, the Chopin and its Europe Festival in Warsaw and the Chopin Festival in Nohant.
 

After arriving in France in 2017, Anastasia obtained her Artist Diploma from the Ecole Normale de Musique, then went on to perfect her skills at the Paris Conservatoire in Frank Braley's class. In June 2022, she became a laureate of the Fondation Banque Populaire and the Fondation Gautier Capuçon. With cellist Lisa Strauss, she founded the SHUM duo, whose artistic identity celebrates the repertoire of Eastern Europe and the Balkans.

 
Anastasia will make her debut at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Shanghai. (China - December 2023) with Gautier Capuçon, at the New Year Music Festival in Gstaad (Switzerland - December 2023) with Gautier Capuçon. January 2024) and at the Festival d'Auvers-sur-Oise (France - June 2024) with Lisa Strauss.

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the young artist has been involved in organizing charity concerts to contribute to humanitarian aid and to help people discover the richness of the Ukrainian piano repertoire. Over the past few months, she has raised over 40,000 euros in support of the Ukrainian people through concerts in France and abroad.
