In September 2023, violinist Gaëtane Prouvost and pianist Dana Ciocarlie released an album with pianist Mara Dobresco featuring Gabriel Fauré on the EnPhases label. This recording illustrates the composer's influence in France and Europe when, in 1896, during Massenet's succession, he became professor at the Paris Conservatoire. The program on this disc brings together his second violin sonata, a late work typical of his last compositions, and pieces by his illustrious pupils: Ravel, Boulanger and Enesco. A fine artistic proposal on the occasion of the centenary of Fauré's death, to be celebrated in 2024.
